Welcome....okay, so i have offically decided to stop being such a chicken shit and put some of my music up on myspace... part of the reason that i havent done so earlier is that i havent really completed a full project yet... This summer I had the pleasure of working with Sav in Toronto on a euro-hip-pop type EP, but its still being mixed... in the past I collaborated with my dear friend Jugular at Beat Sherpa productions in Toronto, which was sooooo much fun, full of some crazy beatboxing beats.. (one piece that we created is on his album...i sang with him and wrote a little poem.. hehe).... but alas, at this point i will not be putting those tracks up either...I am also a huge fan of the singer-songwriter thang... and have been performing my stuff both solo with my guitar, and with a wicked band called The GTAs... comprised of some deliciously talented musicians including Jugular (Beatbox), Blue Venus (Andrea-violin, and Devrim-guitar), CT Lo (keys), Gurpreet Chana (Tablas)... also on rotation Ive had the pleasure of working with other special guest artists including, but not limited to, Layah Jane (vocals), Oli Johnson (Guitar), Kevin Reigh (Vocals & wordsmith), Nick.E Pratt (Vocals), Ben.E (Percussion), Brandon Grant (Harmonica)... and upon arriving in Sweden Ive hooked up with a dopeass bassist by the name of Fredrik Johansson...anyhow, rather than give you the full TADAA... i thought i would start off with the bare minimum or bare necessities.. me, my guitar and a mircrophone.. the few tracks are unmixed, unmastered... and were recorded at Manuver studio by producer Brandon Grant (Rowdy..yeah, yeah)...since i am feeling pretty vulnerable about sharing my stuff and im a bit of a geek, ive decided to put them on a separate page from my dance and painting stuff... if you feel like checking out my dance please go to www.myspace.com/shugamaijohnson and for my paintings go to www.myspace.com/ombey2blesSINGS, shugamai
