Front man of the pop group Mr. President. LayZee aka Delroy Rennalls came to Germany from Birmingham, England in the late 80s with his brother. There they met the now hit producer and remixer Mousse.T and founded there very first group Fresh and Fly. After that LayZee took to working the clubs and discos of Hannover and the north German area as a deejay. due to a lot of hard work and perseverance he managed to take the North German Deejay Championships held in Bremen. Within only two years of becoming a deejay. Mixing, Rapping and Scratching all at the same time to mesmerise the crowd and give him the title.While rapping his way through various studios, clubs and projects. He then received a call from the Mr. President management asking him for his help on there second project. Within a very short time of becoming a member of the band. They where signed to Warner Music and the rest is history. With hits such as Upn Away and Coco Jamboo they managed to storm both domestic and international charts. Releasing 5 albums and 15 singles Layzee had done well. Receiving platinum and gold awards left right and centre. Winning some of Europe's top music prizes. Plus being two time Echo Award winners for Best Dance Single and the following year for best Export. As well as media prizes such as the Viva Award and two time winners for the radio RSH Gold for best song and best live act. Plus recently being awarded a BMI for over 2 million radio plays in the US for Coco Jamboo. Touring the world from America to Japan and back It was a real success story.Now a days, he is now a Songwriter / Remixer and Producer with a studio in Peppermint Jam, doing his own thing. He loved the band but he also loves being creative without any guide lines. So moving from artist to a more back ground position was a very good move. As his first real love was deejaying and making people move. That's just what he´s doing again producing and remix dance tracks for Peppermint Jam and for who ever needs a mix. To producing his own club dance tracks under his new Deejay, Producer name, Diezel Washington (which the first name was given to him by Mousse.T as a matter of fact - don't ask why. Delroy needed then a last name. I admire Denzel Washington and people say i look bit like him, I cant see it myself. So there you have it.). Diezels about to make his moves very clear. While working with a lot other artists and singers LayZee has now decided the time is right to show what he’s been up to. With the first single under the name LayZee (ex-mr. president) He has managed to produce several new songs. The first of which, being ‘Catch Me’ which was co-written by Jan Van Der Toorn and Lavon Lee. Produced by Diezel Washington. Which has turned out to be a catchy dance track which grabs sounds from the underground house scene. Providing a thumping beat and electronic vibes, which are just right for the clubs and a great track for the summer.
