Garfield's Story:Hi am Garfield now, I was Woodstock when I first came to the AllCatRescue and the people who fostered me while the shelter was full called me Garfield..( I guess cuz I am orange colored and love to eat! So the name stuck. Mom did not re-name me as I respond when I am called by Garfield. I definitely had a home at one time, I am a very handsome,Maine Coon, my owner(s) had me fixed and declawed. I was taken out by car, and abandoned by the side of the road where I was found....well it looked like my chances for adoption were reduced because I was estimated to be about six years old when I came to the rescue, even though I was lovable and craved human attention- despite my experience... then this lady came to the shelter and asked Ms.Amanda which one of us needed a home the most and she picked me...yes, me! I was her birthday gift to herself- and voila! I had a new Mom! Mom would want you to know that if you go to a shelter to pick a new companion-don't hesitate to choose a more "mature" feline like me...I still have plenty of lifetime to make her happy, and I love Mom so much for picking me, people who do not know I was adopted think that Mom and I have been together since I was a kitten.Nefertiti's Story: I was Juliette, but Mom named me Nefertiti after the fabled Queen of Egypt. Mom said that Nefertiti means in Egyptian..that a beautiful woman this way comes..and she said I was regal and beautiful."I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. DaMille" Princess:"I'm the Baby, Gotta Love Me" Loki: Aptly named for the Norse God of Mischief, Loki came from Second Chance Animal Rescue/PetSmart where I was originally known as Blue Collar # I like to play with things that aren't toys, be in places I shouldn't be..like the boiler room- or inside the dryer...and make little pouty noises when I want to picked up or held. I love to sleep under the covers with my Mom, and I purr very loud- I love to be picked up and given attention- I just go very limp.
