TOGETHER WITH THIS BELIEF IN HAMBURG, HAFENKLANG-EXIL 21:00 ************************************************************ *********************************************** ************************************************************ *********************************************** ************************************************************ *********************************************** ************************************************************ ***********************************************Hamburgs hardcore quartet WORKERS ETIQUETTE MANUAL has been in existence since the spring of 2001, and consists of former musicians from the bands Rostok Vampires, Bandog and Miozn. WORKERS ETIQUETTE MANUAL play voluminous and aggressive, noisy hardcore as we know it from legendary labels such as Amphetamine Reptile and SST. The band follows in the footsteps of such epoch-making bands as Helmet, Unsane, Black Flag and Bad Brains: rough and determined power is the characteristic of a menacing and highly emotional yet cathartic sound that knows how to satisfy the audience with intensive guitar sound walls, hypnotic bass lines, hammering rhythms, and aggressive vocals. A brutish maelstrom full of boiling fury which turns naked frustration into controlled aggressiveness. In fall 2001, they recorded a 5-track demo tape with Ulf Nagel (Dreadnaught Music). The titles Workers Etiquette Manual and Total Eclipse were extracted from this take and published as a 7". In March 2002, the single was released with a four-color cover by the Hamburg based label Antitainment. Two tracks are available as downloads on the band website. In 2003, WORKERS ETIQUETTE MANUAL recorded another very convincing 5-track demo tape that made quite a few music business people prick up their ears and so the idea of releasing a debut album came into being. Antitainment released the longed-for full length CD The Haves vs. The Have-nots in September 2004 which is distributed by Indigo records. The Haves vs. The Have-nots is a compilation of the creative work of WORKERS ETIQUETTE MANUAL and with this album, the bands music has reached a new level. WORKERS ETIQUETTE MANUALs pure energy and enthusiasm shines through in every performance to put it briefly, it is a genuine live band that aims at direct communication with the audience. Those of you who have already experienced the Hamburg band are aware of their dynamic and sweeping quality. In the past, their performances have earned the band a good reputation.
