About Me

Parisian organist Hampus Lindwall was born in Stockholm 1976 and graduated from the Royal Collegue of Music in his hometown before moving to Paris under the influence of Rolande Falcinelli, of whom he is the last deciple. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon and at Conservatoire de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés in Paris, recieving 1st Prizes in interpretation and improvisation as well as winning the 1st Prizes in the prestigeous International Improvisation Competitions of Saarbrücken 2003 and Strasbourg 2004. In May 2005 he was appointed Titular Organist in the Church of Saint-Esprit, Paris, succeding amongst others Jeanne Demessieux. With his trancendental technic, he was the first person in 45 years to perform the legendary 'La Guitare enchantée' from the 'Quatre Poèmes-études' by Falcinelli.
