The left-handed drummer

About Me

This MySpace profile falls blatantly and shamelessly in the "Everyone else is doing it, so why not me?" category.

OK, my name is Editou Garcia Trezias. I sometimes go by the artistic nickname Grigoris (Greg) Dimitriadis, to avoid attracting unwanted attention in a country where you are fingered if your surname does not end in '-opoulos', '-idis', '-adis', or '-akis'.

I go by introducing myself as someone who hangs around with musicians, in one word a drummer. But I am more than that. I am a left-handed drummer. People tend to believe that the hardest part about being a left-handed drummer is having to set up drum kits the wrong way round and then back again. People are wrong. They can not appreciate the agony of trying to find a set of drumsticks for left-handed people. Anyway.

You can check out the 'Bands & Background' blog for... emmm... bands and background. Yes. And the 'Equipment' blog for info on (guess what!) my equipment.

This is the section where every musician / drummer tries to impress people with their gear, be it shiny & new, vintage and ultra-rare, or proudly hand-made. That's fair enough, don't get me wrong!...

Bands & background

I started getting involved with bands in the early nineties. The first group that managed to (just about) get out of its shell and go public was Emmones Idees (means Obsessions). An alterna-rock quar...
