About Me

Sounds Like Music is the name under which Elias Aifantis will release his personal material starting from 2007.
Elias was born in Houghton MI, USA and grew up in Thessaloniki, Greece and Houghton. He took piano and music theory lessons and later on electronic music, music engineering and counterpoint courses AUTH and the Michigan Technological University.
On February 2003 he joined Vassilis Gountaroulis to perform Vassilis’s music live. The trio Vassilis Gountaroulis, Manolis Trixakis and Elias Aifantis have performed many concerts around Greece, most notable of which were headliners at the Music Day Festival in Athens 2006 and a headline performance at the 2003 Biennale of Arts in Athens among others. Having gained great knowledge from the hours spent with Vassilis Gountaroulis, Elias started making music which he wants to release under the name “sounds like music”.
A group was formed for this, and “sounds like music” has done two performances (one of which was alongside Savina Yannatou).
"Sounds like music" live consists of Elias Aifantis - synths, vocals, Sakis Raptopoulos - synths.
