Actor, writer, producer Mark Hefti. began his professional acting career on the stage, and has performed around the World in numerous theatrical productions including 'The Who's Tommy', 'Beach Blanket Babylon', 'Schoolhouse Rock Live', 'I Love You,You're Perfect, Now Change', 'Hair' and many more. He began the transition to the camera in San Francisco, where he appeared in several commercials (Charles Schwab, ChupaChups,...), voiceovers, industrial videos as well as the TV show 'Nash Bridges', 'The Division' and the feature film 'Sausalito'.
Now a Los Angeles resident, Mark is becoming a widely recognized Indie film leading man, and sought after screenwriter. Mark is starring in the independent films Fandom. (winner best picture, DIY Film Festival), 'I Love You Came Too Late', 'Firefly', 'Tangled Webb', 'Charismatic', and Play Ball. .
Mark is currently starring in two feature films, where he has been receiving much critical acclaim. The Indie dramedy, "The Strange Case of Carl Weber: An American Vampire". where he plays the title character who sues his employer for discrimination based on his claims that he is a vampire.
The Film "Tomorrow Is Today". , which has garnered numerous awards, and praise at various film festivals will be widely released late 2007. In this drama, Mark is brilliantly paired with young actress Scout Taylor-Compton. (Halloween, Sleepover, An American Crime) and masterfully directed by award-winning director Frederic Lumiere. in a script also written by Hefti.
Mark may also be seen on Trojan Television as the zainy Cameron Detweiller in the sitcom 'God Help Us', directed by Peter Bonerz ('Friends', 'Just Shoot Me', 'Newhart').
Mark has recently returned from Australia, where he was filming a sci/fi thriller "Ektopos". . Directed by Ben Shackleford. and produced by Lisa Raciti. , this film is due out December '07.
