You ready?

About Me

i am no good for self-press; just enjoy a bit of a dip in the ole neck-melon; this does feel a bit rediculous. --------- HAPPY: ... grilling for a bunch of friends and/or family ... mowing a few acres a week ... meeting new-to-me folks sharing similar interests ... behind a Midas XL4 ready for the band to take the stage ... at Camden Yards, especially for an Orioles game ... practicing drumming ... mixing (front of house sound engineering) any decent band's show ... during a climate controlled 4 hour window for load-in / sound-check ... watching King's X or Doc Watson or an MLB baseball game ... rocking ... discovering a new really good band like the Greencards or Races to April ... --------- PISSED: ... seeing people being taken advantage of ... mixing lame bands' encores ... redecorating someone else's bullshit ... having to clean-up after able bodied adults ... --------- i am a jackass at peace confident that everybody i love make a whole bunch of people smile ... a whole bunch more than they would otherwise. i have been fortunate enough to meet several folks that i have a geat deal of respect for in the entertainment business. My family, fiddler Charlie Bowman (who Doc Watson has recalled in a Mel Bay article, learning a tune called Texas Gals from); and also the Bowman Sisters were involved during the evolution of 1920's-30's country music including the Bristol sessions. & my uncle Billy Bowman toured dance-halls w/Bob Wills & his Texas Playboys ("swing" not "country") in the mid-50's playing steel guitar. If they were not truly slamming musicians, i would not waste your time.
