About Me

Soapbox: third son of a Filipino immigrant and midwest Cracker, has lived in CA, VA, CHI-town and Lil Weezy Anna. He has been writing since high school, drawing since preschool, and rhyming since the late 90’s. He has bred a style of sarcasm with social commentary, relying on life experience for the tales he tells of modern day life in the NOLA. Over the years he has performed on the same stage as Living Legends, Zion-I, Mars Ill, Anticon, Scienz of Life, Saul Williams and more. Host to benefits and collab-O’s with other artists such as krewe mates Clayton Awful and the Able Chris, Truth Universal, Caligula, Know One, Impulss, and many others. Soapbox continues to paint with sound and color on the daily...returning to New Orleans to till the fertile soil of the crescent and raise the seed.
