About the band:
We are a straight up, balls to the wall hard rock/metal band. No one-note breakdowns, no insane technical masturbation, no whining lyrics about bad relationships, no concern about image - just straight up riffs, solos, drum fills, mad bass lines, catchy hooks, and a sense of humour. As a good friend of the band put it, "it's like the Clash meets Napalm Death". We're not sure what he meant by that, but it sounds about right.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Russell Gregory - singer, ginger, and overall nutcase. Formed FitC with guitarist Kyle after their first gig with their former band All Greased Up ended with the audience threatening to call the police after six minutes. Likes Opeth, which is quite cool, but loses all status because he's vegetarian. Likes writing lyrics about his bodily functions.
Kyle Mcsweeny - guitarist. Co-founded FitC with Russ, and writes the majority of the music. Likes obscure Swedish sleaze rock, being a cunt, and drinking. Dislikes everything else.
Matthew Whitworth - guitarist. Best known as "God dammit Whitty". Is the youngest, and therefore gets the most abuse, but he takes it well. Likes Lamb of God, downpicking and attending illegal cock fights. Dislikes the law.
Matthew Evans - bassist. Funk bassist of several years who accidently managed to find himself in a hard rock band. Has an entire shelf in Kyle's shed of empty JD bottles, most of which he drank himself. Also 8 feet tall. Likes whiskey and Pantera. Dislikes you.
Ian Fraser - drummer/scotsman. Extremely talented guitarist who somehow ended up drumming for Footprints. Is Scottish and extremely proud of it. Has a magnificent beard. Likes wearing kilts while drumming so everyone can get a good eye full. Dislikes England.

Influences: Bullets and Octane, In Flames, Opeth, Children of Bodom, Sonata Arctica, the Wildhearts, Sikth, Coheed and Cambria, Megadeth, Alice in Chains, CKY, Killswitch Engage...

Basically anything that mixes heavy with catchy, we like that

And lots and lots of dirty sleazy rock and roll - Skid Row, Twisted Sister, Backyard Babies, Hardcore Superstar, Motley Crue, Gemini Five
Sounds Like: A vending machine having an abortion. That was conceived by virtually every type of rock/metal imaginable. In a guitar factory. That's burning down.

Imagine the random genre switching of Faith No More crossed with the pointlessly loud and fast style of Slayer. But worse.
Record Label: unsigned
Type of Label: None

They think its all over...

..but is it? (WARNING: THIS GETS MORE POINTLESS AND LONG WINDED AS IT GOES ALONG) So where are Footprints now? No gigs lined up, no practices.... Looks pretty grim doesn't it? At the time of writing, ...

Recording: Day 1

What happened: Set up the kit how Ian likes it, got the guitar and bass sounds sorted, got a list of the songs we're doing, generally did all the pre-recording work, and then managed to get four drums...

Gig diary - Madely, June 16th

How it went: The two hours Russ, Whitty and Ian spent looking at a duckpond in the cold was reported to be fairly enjoyable, in a montonous sort of way. The loading up of far too much equipment in one...

Show Diary - May 5th Crewe Limelight

How it went: Surprisingly well. Got a soundcheck in this time, and everyone was actually coming in through the monitors so we could all hear it. Russ once again looked truly terrifying, as did the ent...

Show Diary - Tuesday May 1st 2007

How it went: Ace, we actually played well. Sound was a bit off, but otherwise good playing. Small place, small audience, some sound issues, and no real room to get a thrash going, but a good practice ...

Show Diary - Limelight, April 24th 2007

How it went:Fucking awful. For those not in the know, when you go to a gig, the sound doesn't come straight from the amps and the drums, they're mic'd up, and go through a sound desk into the PA syste...

Recording!

How it went: Really well, got the drums and guitar down first, added the bass and vocals, then Ian mixed everything down til it sounded pretty awesome. The only major horrible moment was when all five...

How it went:Our first gig ever! Pretty damn well considering the nerves and whatnot we were having beforehand. People seemed to really enjoy it, which was ace cause we thought they were going to throw...
