Hey. We're Acanthis, which is Peter (vocals), Martin (bass), Lukas (lead guitar), Mike (drums) and Lukas (rhythm guitar). We're from Warsaw(Poland), and we exist since January 2005, but our squad had changed several time's. For our luck, we have got new guitarist on board and it's time to begin with everything from teh origin. You may ask what are we playing, how we're describing our music. It's a kind of hard to tell. I guess You can tell we're playing Crossover Core? I call it a "Crow Core". We try to mix styles, like hardcore, metalcore, metal, progressive and screamo. During playing and composing we're guided by one thought - we don't want to close ourselves in one music style, we don't want to play the same thing over and over again. We try to combine, to mix. To make something "really ours". Sometimes our songs are harder, sometimes lively, sometimes gloomily. We just try to express what we feel, and with our music we try to show what makes us sick, we want to show some kind of ideology, to show illnesses that our reality suffers from. What more? I guess, that's it as far as our music is concerned. Feel free to download and listen to our songs, and hopefully we'll see you at one of our concerts.

Czesc, nazywamy sie Acanthis, a Acanthis to Peter (wokal), Marcin (bass), Sikor (lead guitar), Lukas (rythm guitar) i Michal (drumms). Pochodzimy z Warszawy (Polska!) i istniejemy od stycznia 2005 (w takiej formie). W tym czsaie nasz sklad zmienial sie wiele razy. Na szczescie mamy na pokladzie nowych gitarzystów i nadszedl czas, by siasc i zaczac wszystko od samego poczatku. Mozecie zpaytac jak gramy i jak okreslamy wlasna muzyke. To nie takie proste. Mozna powiedziec, ze gramy Crossover Core, albo Crossover Metal (blizej nam do tego pierwszego)? My nazywamy to "Crow Core". Staramy sie mieszac style takie jak hardcore, metalcore, metal, progressive i screamo. Podczas nagrywania i komponowania przyswieca nam jedna mysl - nie chcemy siezamknac w jednym stylu, nei chcemy sie ograniczyc. Pragniemy kombinowac, lawirowac w idylicznej krainie gatunków i stylów - szufladek. Nasza muzyka, naszymi tekstami, staramy sie ukazac to, co nas boli, a jednoczesnie otacza na codzien, ukazac choroby trawiace ten swiat. Cóz jeszcze? To chyba wszystko. Zapraszamy do sluchania naszej muzyki i mamy nadzieje, ze spotkamy sie kiedys na jakims koncercie. Dozo!

Chcielibysmy podziekowac nasyzm bylym gitarzysta - za wspólnie spedzone godzony, zagrane kocnerty i niezliczone próby. To byl wspanialy czas, aczkolwiek... Jak to powiedzial kiedys AS: "Cos sie konczy, cos sie zaczyna".
Acanthis is not only band and music. It's also some kind of "art". Two of our members (Gizu and Jackob), are dealing with art - not only music, but also with photography, painting'n'drawing.
