Born in 1984, Moon Kaplan begins the alto sax in 1994. After several years of working on this instrument, he begins to play the tenor in 2006. His musical studies at the Conservatory of Lyon made him practise jazz and create his own group on 2002. He took part in many groups (from trio to big band). The Moon Kaplan Group, which includes actually between three and five members, was created in february 2005 and performs generally at Lyon or around. The group principally works on original compositions."

Ses études de musique au Conservatoire de Lyon (C.N.R) l'ont conduit à travailler le jazz en autodidacte et à créer son propre groupe en 2002. Il a participé à différentes formations de jazz (du trio au big band). Le Moon Kaplan Group, qui compte actuellement entre 3 et 5 membres, fut créé en février 2005 et se produit généralement sur Lyon et sa région. Le groupe travaille principalement sur des compositions."
