About Me

Serving the Central Texas area, Hearts & Hooves is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to working with miniature horses as therapy animals. Hearts & Hooves travels to hospitals, nursing homes, state hospitals, schools for the blind and deaf, neuro rehabilitation centers, schools for persons with disabilities, women's abuse centers, and anywhere these animals can make a difference. We also have trained therapy dogs that accompany the minis on their visits. All our dogs & minis are rescue animals, and many of them have disabilities.
H & H visits with the ill and severely disabled to bring the benefit of an amazing animal assisted experience as trained miniature horses work with therapists and educators to facilitate their healing efforts. H & H also works with issues of grief therapy, emotional and physical abuse and in hospice situations.
Patients, their families, as well as care givers and staff members all benefit when Hearts & Hooves bring a Mini to lighten the day by providing healing, inspiration, comfort, and most important---smiles.
Hearts & Hooves also enjoys participating in parades & other fun events!
