JJ Wright

J.J. Wright is a native of Buffalo, New York and began playing piano at the age of ten. He attended St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, graduating in 2003, and continued his studies at Indiana University, where he majored in jazz studies/piano performance. J.J. worked for Carnival Cruise Lines before winning the audition as pianist with the United States Naval Academy Band in July 2005. J.J.’s teachers include David Butler, James Deiotte, Persis Vehar, Russel Owens, George Jones, and Luke Gillespie.
