Blackberry Wednesday

Blackberry Wednesday is a new and upcoming band that is creating a buzz around Memphis, TN. We came together late April 2007 and are anything, but new to the Memphis music scene. All members have previously played in other bands around the midsouth and have now collaborated to form what is Blackberry Wednesday. The sound of our band is an eclectic mix of (power pop/ rock) songs that are energizing and catchy, which makes the foundation of Blackberry Wednesday’s formula. Anyone who has heard our songs has been impressed for many reasons. The powerful dynamic vocals of Rod Hanson; the explosive edgy sounds of lead guitarist Jon Baxter; the melodic balance of rhythm guitarist Steve Crofcheck; the backbone to the rhythm of bassist Joseph Andrade; and the energizing, hard pounding, percussion/drums of Mario Aviles. All of these elements captivate our fan base as it is quickly expanding. Our band has played throughout many Memphis venues, such as Hard Rock Cafe, New Daisy Theater, and Newbys. We have also made several appearances on Memphis channel 3 WREG “Live @ 9” segment and are now venturing out into the cities outside of the Memphis, TN. area.
