The Princess Theater In Columbus Mississippi

About Me

The Princess Theater was constructed in 1924. It was the premier place to go to see entertainment in North Mississippi. It began as a vaudeviulle house and was later used as a movie theater, and a venue for plays and other live entertainment. As a music venue, it has hosted such acts as the Allman Brothers and Eddie Money. As of late it has fallen into bad repair. It's previous owners had abused and neglected it.Thanks to the efforts of Dr Mark Burtman (Bass player of the Cemetery Surfers) who Purchased the building, and the efforts of fellow surfers Jeff Uglyshoes,& Silent Jody evans (as well as the efforts of many others..particularly April, David & Monica) The builklding is on it's way back to greatness. Now the old (and supposedly haunted) showcase is going to re-open again! It will be once more THE PREMIER venue in Mississippi.

for Booking: Contact Jeff @ (662)245-1019
The best way to get booked is to support the club. We are trying to build an original music venue. do not expect to get a booking if you are a local act and never support the other musicians who play here. best to come to the club at least once before you ask for a show.
For easier booking.. Please send a demo package to :
