Brelynd

Brelynd Josephs was born on August 6th. He was raised in Scarborough, in the Markham and Eglinton area. "Even as a child I was mature for my age, I would always be with my older brother and his friends from the neighbourhood." At school he would find a taste for acting and music where he joined the choir and band.In 1999 his family moved into the Durham Region. "Growing up I looked to; my brother C.jay, 5 Deuce, Red Shortz, and Boi 1 da as independent musical influences." In the summer of 2006 Brelynd got serious with music and applied for Entertainment Administration. Coincidentally, he heard a friend Emerson' Just.' Brooks, from a local basketball team, was producing and writing his own music. After exchanging a few beats and lyrics they decided to collaborate in the studio...there has been no looking back.Fast forward to 2007, Brelynd is currently a full-time student in the Music Business Management Program, with sights on becoming a (jack- of- all- trades) producer, starting his own independent label, and taking the Hip Hop scene in Toronto by storm. Now a key member of 'The Press Play Lifestyle Group',(formed by himself and Just. early 2007) he maintains a positive outlook on the future, "I truly believe the underground needs to come together and make things happen on our own terms, instead of hoping for major labels to come sign us."
