" This will tell you what was running through Project Pats head while writing the new album. . Intro2. I Ain’t Going Back To JailThat’s personal right there. Just letting it be known that I ain’t going back. Juicy came up with it and Juicy was just hittin’ me with the hook and was like that fits you right here. I heard the track and was like aw man that’s me.3. Purple (FT. Beanie Sigel)Me, Paul, and Juicy was in the studio and you know you always got to have the song for your people at a party where people kick it. We just did something for what people mainly on. As far as the purp we was on that like man back in 97-98. We was coming up to Cali and we was on it then. People are more on it now, but you know that’s how we came up with that concept and put it down.4. Raised In The ProjectsThat’s just a song man that’s off the head, just describing what’s going on in the projects and how it go. I really needed like 16 bars and 3 verses to get into full detail how I wanted to, but I had to shorten it up and go with the theme that’s going on now. Before I was locked up, everyone was doing 16 bars and 3 verses, but the game done shortened up a little bit which is sweet. This songs just talking about the hood. Chrome wasn’t on the album version because of politics. We all Hypnotize Mindz, but he getting distributed through another company, I’m distributed by Sony, and you know how that go.5. 2 Dollar NiggasThat’s another personal of mines and I came up with the concept and everything. It’s describing how young dudes be getting sent out by guys who be lying and portraying real street dudes where they were in the streets, but they was the driver and not the dudes holding the gun. They end up getting caught and go to jail and since they be gone so long, you don’t know where they been, and they come back tell you a bunch of stories of how they were running the units and penitentiaries and they lying. A 2 dollar nigga is a type of dude that portray that he got 200 million, but he ain’t got nothing but $2. He send out young dudes out on murder missions where they never went out on they selves or don’t know nothing about. A 2 dollar nigga really don’t know nothing about no streets he just got caught up in it, but just portrays himself as if he knows everything about the streets and he’s the kingpin of the streets. Since the younger dudes don’t be knowing the dudes history they just go with what he say.6. CocaineYa know that’s just talking about that flake and how the dope game roll.7. Tell Tell Tell (Stop Snitchin’) (FT. Mr. Bigg, Lyfe Jennings, and Young Jeezy)Juicy came up with part of it and I came up with some of it with the hook. Really, Juicy made the track with the hook already in it. When he gave it to me, I was like “oh man I knew that I wanted a song like this anyway.” It just was sweet man; it was just a song where when I got in the fedz I got exposed to snitches. I’ve done heard of dudes telling and snitchin’, but I never heard the full weight of the way a dude think and the full concept of it. When I got into the fedz I learned the full details of it like when I said in the one part “the logic of a snitch/you ain’t know I’m a let you in/a snitch think why would I do 10 when I can go ahead and turn in a friend.” Really that’s a fedz slogan among dudes that be telling on they partners, that’s they slogan. “Why would I do 10 when I can gon’ head and tell on a friend?” Anybody that’s ever did fed time knows that that’s a slogan in the fedz, that’s what they say. Its messed up too man because that’s like I get caught up in something and I am putting my pressures and what I’m going through on another man, so I can ease my own pain. That’s wrong and just like this right here, when I was young I get robbed and since I get robbed I get mad at the world and say I’m robbin’ everybody. Nigga rob me I’m robbin’ them and it ain’t right.8. What Money DoMane you know that’s just flossin’, arrogant niggas showin’ out, just explaining to a nigga that that’s what money do mane and don’t get mad at me, get mad at the cheese.9. I Keep ThatYou know how them young niggas do it. They keep that that fire kush, and that white sac ya know. That’s what everybody is on now, down south anyway, especially in Memphis. That’s what its about and if a nigga ain’t got that he ain’t talkin’ bout nothing.10. Crack A HeadThat’s just letting niggas know that don’t get it twisted. You got real dudes in the club that ain’t even lookin’ for no trouble, but they will crack a head. A nigga ain’t come here for nothing, but to get his drink on, holla at a couple of these broads, but ya know just because I ain’t throwing up my set or signs, don’t think a nigga won’t crack yo’ head. Just because I came in here on the low, don’t think a nigga won’t crack yo’ head.11. You LikeThat’s just like a nigga flossin’ like “you see these rims on my car, you like, you like.” A nigga lookin’ like “yeah yeah yeah you aight man”, but really you like that though. You know how niggas do that and broads do that.12. High Off The GroundThat’s a song where me, Paul, and Juicy was working on and we was talkin’ bout how niggas are high off the ground. We call it ridin’ high off the ground and that’s what niggas say showing that how we ridin’ ride on them things. At the same time when you ridin’ high you supposed to mean you ridin’ higher and looking down at them niggas.13. Get DownThat’s just one of them songs where I’m going back in my past of how a nigga do back in the days. I just went back into the past and snatched the rabbit out my hat. That’s just something about how a nigga came in the streets. A little situation had came up and its just a hood tale, but all of it wasn’t so to speak just me ya know, more people were involved, but I won’t go into details. It was just something in the past that I snatched up.14. Cause I’m A PlayaThat’s a self-esteem motivator right there. That’s like a nigga raise the cover and its like hey you’re a playa. don’t let nothing get you down, I got my cup raised up, I’m a playa. I’m looking for some the beef the kind you find at a BBQ. These niggas out here hatin’, talking crazy, got their gloves all out; I ain’t trying to get into all that with you. I got niggas over here and niggas over there, but the thing is they not gonna do nothing because I ain’t on nothing.15. Good Googly Moogly (FT. Three 6 Mafia)That’s the Big Booty Judy. That’s just something that I had in my head. I came up with the concept and I just rolled with it. It’s something like back in the day with “Mista Don’t Play” that “Ooh Nuthin’”, it kind of like that concept. Its just like a nigga talkin’ ‘bout yeah you know the physique fine with juicy stoutnance.16. How It Goes In The GuttaI was just signifying how it go. You know how dudes get in the streets and don’t understand that this how it goes in the gutta. Dudes lose they lives and I’m just saying man that’s just how it goes. You can’t just demand that you trying to get this and you trying to get that, before you know you get shot in the head and it be all over with, and all you were trying to do was make a dollar.17. Nigga Got PoppedThat just another one of them old tales that I snatched out. I had to kind of add a little something to it though because it ain’t go all the way like that. It’s something just for the listener with me kickin’ it with my nigga Gangsta Fred which is you know my nigga. me and him used to mainly run together, I mean we still… but he ain’t on nothing no more and I ain’t on nothing no more of course and it all over now, but we used to roll like we roll. It was about a night, but it didn’t end up like that, but I had to end more to it, but it was street though. It was street like a muthafucka.18. Get That Up Off YaIts just what niggas say down here when they gonna rob they be like “let me get that up off ya.” I was like let me gon’ head and put that slang out there. This just robbery slang in town.19. Been Gettin’ Money (FT. Three 6 Mafia)That’s just a hustlers anthem like nigga I been getting’ money. Don’t look at me differently now because I’m rappin’ nigga, I been on this, I been doing what I do ya know. I’m mainly speaking to my whole neighborhood because people on the outside they hearing it, but really I’m talking to some niggas in my neighborhood. Them niggas be like “aye Pat this and that now,” nigga kill yourself, you know I been on this, I been doing what I do.20. OutroProject Pat on his satisfaction with "Crook By Da Book: The Fed Story."I’m loving it, it’s cool. I think it needs more promotion of course, but that’s quote unquote not my department. I love it, I love it, I love it, and I got some more joints with people on it that are fire, but I love it though, and that’s what I want
