Klaus was born in Haßfurt/Bayern/Germany and played in various bands, projects and ensembles in the styles of Jazz, Rock Pop, Blues, Funk, Fusion, Latin, Folk and Classical over the last 20 years, including gigs at the International Variete Festival Sennfeld/Germany, the german/french Zikomm-Festival, Leipzig Jazz Festival, Alte Oper Frankfurt and with Lousiana Red, just to name a few. Right now Klaus is playing in the duo "Horizons" (Originals, Jazz, Experimental) and "One Man's Blues" (Blues, whatelse) with the violinist/singer/guitarist Michael Christof Schmitt, the Jazz Projekt "West of the Moon" with Sara de Leuw and Christof Bäurle , the unplugged trio "Down on the corner" (Folk, Pop, Rock) the "Edwin Steimer Band" and various session projects, often in his favourite club, the mambo-bar (www.mambo-bar.de) Further he works with the "Haßfurter Theaterwerkstatt" where he currently composed, played and produced the music for the theater version of the child book "kleiner Werwolf" by Cornelia Funke
He is also teaching guitar at two music schools and is a graduate of the Munich Guitar Institute, the Grove School of Music / Los Angeles and the Frankfurter Musikwerkstatt FMW
In 2006 he finished his Cd "Different Worlds" wich is mainly acoustic jazz, fusion and latin guitar music and contains only original tunes. The Cd was recorded, mixed and designed at home on his pc. The wonderful artwork is by Petra Lücking from Essen, Germany, thanks a lot !!!
Every year in his free time in summer he goes to a camp where disabled and non-disabled children share 10 days together in nature, which is organised by the local youth organisation, the KJR Haßberge, if you want to take a look there is a link on the hompage beside the campfire picture on the "projects" site
