About Me

Born in Mannheim,Germany. After my parents divorced, my mom remarried to an American, actually a Canadian Native American of the Mic Mac tribe, who used to settle along the north-east coast. The tribes' rez is in New Brunswick,Canada.Like most reservations, it was pretty depressing, but I met a lot of cool people there. From there I moved to Oly,Wa in 1980,went back to Germany in 82 and then lived in the Quad Cities(IA,IL) for about 8 years. While living in the Mid-west, I played in several bands. In 87 Sean Schipper,Jerry Duncan, and I formed Insane Aggression,a cross between Metal and Hardcore. We released one demo tape in 88, that was never really distributed. I understand that Sean had it remixed and put onto cd, I've not seen or heard it yet so I made my own with the help of a friend by downloading the cassette tape onto computer, remixing it, and burning it to disk. I'll gladly make copies for $5.00 + S&H.(free to the old gang,of course). Anyway, after I.A., Sean and I formed Insantic with new guitarists "Dirty"Dan Baker and "Buzz". Jerry went on to do Unatural Causes and Butt Lynt with former members of QCHC greats "Distemper".Later Sean joined Chicago's Zoetope, replacing the late, great Barry Stern(RIP),who at the time went on to add his talents to the Doom Metal band Trouble.Dan Baker and I then formed Nailed with his younger bro John(currently in Waco Jesus) and additional guitarist Wade and Brad on vocals, who was later replaced by "Raunchy"Rob Fornicator, formerly of the infamous raunchyhatecoreband "Disciples Of Hate", and Jerry came back adding his insane earpiercing guitar sound. In the meantime Jerry and I also reformed I.A. with drummer Matt Cason(of Seattles Drawn&Quartered and Serpens Aeon)and Buzz on the G. fronted by Alex and then Emil Damers. There were other projects and members that are too blurry for me to recall at the moment. If anybody(u know who u r)has a better recollection of the past events, let me know, and I'll update this. In 93 my stepfather passed away due to a heart attack, so I moved back to Olympia,WA to support my mother and younger siblings,Eric and Josephine. I now reside in the Great Northwest.Currently in Oly WA, a great little city not too far from Seattle.Work wasn't to difficult to find, since I like to fix things, and shit is bound to break.I enjoy Carpentry/remodel work, which is something I started in 93.I also got into automotive work, but realized that I prefere to just work on my own rigs, and not everybody elses neglegted,greasy,wrong-wheel drive piles o'shit,(except for friends in need).I also have a great love and respect for the outdoors, and in 2000 I was fortunate enough to stumble across a job as a Forest Tech, doing survey contracts for the D.N.R.,B.L.M.,and the Forest Service in WA and OR.This was definately the hardest, yet most rewarding job ever.A lot of the work I did solo w/dog companions, other work was done with a partner, especially when you had to hike deep into the wilderness(no joke,we still have that out here, and if you don't respect it, you will die.Remember,"Be Prepared":). My most memorable encounter was in Colville(N.E.,WA)when I had the pants-shitting run in with a black bear. I was on my plot, ready to start my survey when I noticed my dog,Gibson, had his ears flat hidding behind me, with a confused look on his face.Seconds later I heard grunting and russling in the bushes about twenty feet away, and then the bear popped it's head out(didn't check for gender). It just seemed curious. We were told to look big and talk loud in such an incident,so I packed up my gear andbeing as calm as possible, told my dog it was time to go.Luckily the trail was only about a 1/4 mile away, and my rig wasn't much further. The bear followed at a safe distance, and did not come onto the trail.Pheeww,it definately was a killer adrenaline rush. After several years of that,I started having knee problems, and got burned out.I still miss it occasionlly, but being a social creature,I prefere to be close to home, with my friends.Spending several weeks at a time in the woods can be difficult, especially if you're in a relationship.I went back to Europe in 04,to visit my family, and plan on going back for an extended period later this year.Currently I do various construction projects and volunteer as maintenance dude in an old 1920's theater, known as The Capital Theater, which is independantly run by the Olympia Film Societies' board members, staff, and volunteers. It's alot of fun, and you meet lot'sa Cool people.I also just started playing my Bass again and am hoping to start some new projects soon. Olympia is full of talented people, one of my favorite bands and good friends "the Dirty Birds"are some of them. Check them out on my links below. V for Vendetta,I find Alan Moore's novel to be a timeless classic, very fitting for our present day fucked up situation.I like movies that remind me that it's good to be alive. If they make me think, maybe reconsider a situation,and/or laugh.Too many to name, but alot of times few and far between(all the time and $$$ wasted on film)

Television:
