Hans malerier blænder op for en alternativ virkelighed - en helt igennem fiktiv parallelverden, som giver mulighed for fri tankevirksomhed og fantasifuld fordybelse.Fladskærmen er ret symbol pÃ¥ det Pabi kalder 'den store usikre masses forbrug uden fornuft'. Hans udstilling sparker til menneskets flok-mentalitet der gør, at alle mÃ¥ eje en fladskærm, se de samme programmer hver aften, have en profil pÃ¥ Facebook, eje det samme mærketøj, møbler, biler, og indtage de samme fem retter pÃ¥ hver eneste café, hvor vi drukner os i café latte.Pabis billeder tilbyder et alternativ til 'fladskærmsfeberen' men de tilpasser samtidig sig den ensrettede forbruger med sit trygge fladskærmsformat. Formatet skal fange opmærksomheden og presse budskabet ind: sluk skærmen, fordyb dig, og slip fantasien løs! April til 21. maj 2008.Exhibition Friday the 25th of April.Fucking FlatscreenPabi challenges the living room's monopoly on the flatscreen with a gallery in widescreen, distancing itself from the reality culture that dominates TV. His paintings switch on an alternative reality, broadcasted from a parallel universe of fiction in which free thoughts and imaginative absorption set the agenda.The flatscreen is a symbol of what Pabi defines as "the senseless consumption of the insecure crowd." His exhibition aims a kick at the gregarious mentality that dominates human beings, and makes us wanting to own a flatscreen, watch the same programs every night, have a Facebook profile, buy the same designer labels, furniture, cars and consume the same five dishes at the same cafes at which we drown our senses in a cafe latte.Pabi's widescreen exhibition offers an alternative to the flatscreen-mania while at the same time its safe flatscreen format adjusts itself to fit the standardized consumer. The format will attract the viewer's attention and print in the message: turn off your telly, immerse yourself and set your imagination free! Pabi's flatscreen cannot be turned off. It will continue enlightening you, even in the dark. Come and have a look for yourself from the 25th of April to the 21st of May 2008.Exposición, Viernes 25 de Abril.Maldita Pantalla Plana Pabi desafía el monopolio de la sala de estar en la pantalla plana, con una galería en pantalla ancha, distanciándose de la cultura "reality" que domina la televisión. Sus pinturas encienden una realidad alternativa, transmitida desde un universo paralelo de ficción en el cual, los pensamientos libres y la absorción imaginativa establecen la agenda.La pantalla plana es un símbolo de lo que Pabi define como "el consumo sin sentido de una multitud insegura". Su exposición esta dirigida a la mentalidad gregaria que domina a los seres humanos, y nos hace desear poseer una pantalla plana, ver los mismos programas cada noche, tener un perfil en "Facebook", comprar prendas y muebles de los mismos diseñadores, carros, y consumir las mismas cinco comidas en los mismos Cafés en donde ahogamos nuestros sentidos en un Café Latte.La exposición de Pabi en pantalla ancha ofrece una alternativa a la manía de la pantalla plana mientras que al mismo tiempo su formato de pantalla plana se ajusta para encajar con un consumidor estándar. El formato atraerá la atención del telespectador e imprimirá sobre él el mensaje: "apaga tu tele, sumérgete y deja libre tu imaginación". La pantalla plana de Pabi no puede ser apagada. Continuará iluminándote aún en la oscuridad.
