RudeBoyzInternational (RBI) are no strangers to Reggae music. A dynamic performing group consisting of three energetic young artists, Papa Gad (Tafawa Stewart), Red Dawn (Mark A, Stewart), and Spark Plug (Andre Hines) are making their mark in history. Winners of DJ competitions, they have shared the same stage with the greatest in the industry and received many accolades, awards, trophies and honors. As their picture gallery at the end show, RBI has shared the same billing with the best: Beenie Man, Sean Paul, Buju Banton, Elephant Man, Beres Hammond, Fred Locks, Sister Nancy, Sister Carol, Judy Mowatt, Freddy McGregor, Culture, Luciano and others.. RBI's first album, Rude Boyz Ah Come: Genesis I was released in Atlanta, Georgia and Kingston, Jamaica. This engaging CD covers a spectrum of different topics from love, dancehall, roots, hip-hop, consciousness, and has guest artists such as Messenjah Selah and the sweet melodic Sugar Minott belting out his hit song: Tune In. The second album, Exodus: The Journey, doing well in the U.S., Jamaica. and the the local radio stations in Atlanta, is steadily picking up dancehall momentum.
From the tender age of three and five, in 1978 Red Dawn and Papa Gad performed as Moses Children with their four year-old sister, Princess. In 1996 they started performing as Rude Boyz International. Performing annually at Reggae Production such as Rebel Salute in Jamaica and Sunsplash in Hotlanta, Georgia, Red Dawn and Papa Gad expanded their talents in their LionHeart Studio to produce tracks and recordings. 1998, RBI cut their first vinyl record and self-released it under their company, LionHeart Entertainment. The single, Gimme Your Loving and Ride On Rude Boyz, hit the streets like a blazing fire. RBI revived Sugar Minotts hit song Tune in and has him featured singing on it. The melodies and vocals of How you Figure will keep you moving. The video is available.
The music of RBI is a hybrid of hip-hop, dancehall, and studio-1 bass line. Coming from a strong Jamaican Foundation, as children of Reggae icon Fred Locks, cavorting with the Marleys and Morgans Heritage. RBI's sound is a dynamic fusions of Dancehall and Hip- Hop. RBI dynamic fusions were also influenced by growing up in the U.S.A with Producer Bullwackie, who got Sunsplash to Japan and was featured in Who's Who in America as the first founder of a Reggae Studio in the U.S.A. RBI has performed to rave reviews all over the United States, The Caribbean, and Canada. . For booking contact Mark A, Stewart (770) 593-4818 E mail: [email protected]
