About Me

Okay, I've sold my soul. I told myself that I'd never make my own myspace but I guess I had to. I guess programming and designing websites has jaded me regarding the internet for entertainment or anything really... I kinda hate it... It's insidious how it'll try to capture you with anything in it's arsenal. On a different note, I'd like to stay in touch with people I don't see often enough. Which wins? You already know, don't you?Anyhow, I've committed myself to starting a myspace but this is all I can muster for the moment... create a little something... perhaps I'll add more soon.

My Interests

For the most part I can be interested in damn near anything... seriously. String? Elastic strap and crazy glue? Yes. I feel that fun is where you make it... or find it... or where you play with it. It really doesn't matter so long as you have a good time.

I'd like to meet:

Many upon many. I can't say I've ever really made a list. Gimme some time.

Music:

I like music... music is good, just not too loud (yes, I'm a geek).

Movies:

Movies are good, especially Sci-fi... but not BAD sci-fi... Old sci-fi is okay as long as it's not bad. All this is sorta tricky. We can sum it up as 'SCI-FI = HAPPY TIM'. 'nuff said.

Books:

Sci-fi, Fantasy and non-fiction. Here are a couple of series that I think are really good.Dune: All of them. Brilliant, multi-layered stories that really make you think about almost everything. Where we've been, where we're going. What are we doing now? Why? How? Amazing... so amazing I can't give it proper credit. If you can't stand 'hard core' sci-fi, pick up one of Brian Herbert and Kevin Andersons new releases... It'll get you hooked and you'll love it. *update* The series finale was AWESOME! It managed to wrap up all the loose ends in a way that was actually satisfying and unexpected. I sad it's over...His Dark Materials: Incredible. If you like fantasy you HAVE to read them... 'The Golden Compass', 'The Subtle Knife', and 'The Amber Spyglass'. *update* If you saw the film and thought, "Wow, that sucked. What a waste of nine bucks!" Then you should still try and give it a read. Movies have to be truncated to someone else's vision and are often inferior. Remember, "Never judge a book by it's movie."Ender: An excellent read by Orson Scott Card. Check it out with Ender's Game... I don't read it anymore because if I do I'll end up having to read the whole series. Yes, it's all that good. The Age of Unreason: A really interesting 'alternate history' fantasy series following Benjamin Franklin. Slightly mystical but all-in-all a great read.I guess I didn't mention any non-fiction books. Sorry, they're really good but sometimes the names don't stick... Don't discount them though, please. There's a lot of goodnesss in them.

Heroes:

...working on it...

My Blog

What bugs me the most about working retail then having to shop

Okay, so there's something I've noticed...  If you've done a good job working at retail jobs, people will just assume you are an employee... even if you're looking for ear-plugs and have no idea ...
