Ginger Snap5 was created in 2004 after leaving Annabel Lee [Crazy Juliet] because of harsh creative controversies and excessive non-competence of the vocalist. Originally, the style of the project was intended to fall in between Katatonia and A Perfect Circle. Following that intention, 9 tracks were created. Later, musical style morphed into Industrial and into Trance/EBM similar to [Razed In Black]. That time, 12 tracks were written, including "hunting 4" and "digital slave". The project appeared on the stage three times with that set list.
The results of the last show led to the conclusion to stop playing live in Ukraine caused by the people's response to the music of that kind. The statement was: "I feel no feedback from the audience. While I'm nearly turning myself inside out, they are just standing around. They don't seem to be ready to perceive the music of this kind".
Further on, having studied European standards of such music and its commercial perspectives, the project changed the sound towards Dark-Electro with elements of Euro Trance. 6 tracks were created in this style. The project has not gained yet its own characteristic sound. After receiving numerous reviews from various countries, the project has outlined their credo as: "I don't want to bother people with global issues and I couldn't care less for the things like nuclear war, post-apocalyptic visions and so on. What I do care for is the dancefloor". This approach yielded 12 new tracks. At this time, the project finishes working at the debut album.
