Ms.Nubyian born, April Hunter. Was born Nov. 10 1971 in Memphis Tn. At the age of 14 she moved to Senatobia Ms., where she lived the duration of her teenage life and most adult life. At a very young age(about 5) she started singing all the time to family and friends. Ms. Nubyian had one problem,she was too shy to sing in public or to crowds. She had a bad case of stage fright. So her singing took a back seat in her life. Ms. Nubyian became a mother in 1991 and again in1993.So mother became top priority in her life.In 1997 a tragic incident happened to ms. nubyian, she suffered a nervous breakdown, which was caused by an abusive and controlling boyfriend.So her life came to a standstill(or so she thought).After a few years of recovery she was able to put her past behind her and move on.Still trying to pursue her dream as a proffesional r&b singer,her stage fright kept getting in her way.But all in all she was determined to beat the odds.With alot of hard work and support from her family,she knew she could accomplish her goal.ThaJ(brother)founder and ceo of hid-n-black records,gave Ms.Nubyian her first shot as an r&b performer/songwriter in 2002. With her brothers by her side (BIG6IX and THA J) she has become an accomplished and proffesional singer/songwriter.In march of 2007 she released her single titled;NEVA KNOW, which consist of three of her tracks from her album. The album PASSIONS is sceduled to be released in the fall of 2007. so far among ms.nubyian's accomplishments she has done a number of shows under the hid-n-black lable. in 2003 she did her first live performance at , tha j (CEO OF HID-N-BLACK RECORDS) album release party in senatobia ms. also she has performed at; tower records in memphis tenn, june teenth celebreation at martin luther king park, in memphis tenn.in march of 2007 ms.nubyian did her first live performance at the house of mtenzi in memphis tenn. she performs there every fourth friday of the month. she also has sold over a hundred singles in the short time of the release. she also has done a video from her title cut of her single,NEVA KNOW which was released in may of 2007. she has also sold a number of copies in its short release. ms.nubyian describes her sound as old school r&b and a touch of the smooth sound of neo soul.ms.nubyian has accomplished a lot in the short time she's been a performer and she shows no sign of stopping now.With the support and encouragement from her family,ms.nubyian feels she has beat the odds that were against her and now believes that dreams really do come true if you strive and work toward those dreams.........FOR BOOKING INFO, CONTACT:
