Hey. What uhh, what's goin on? It's Josh, or as a lot of you like to call me, Stein. It's half of my last name, Steingard. So, i've been playing drumset since i was about 9 and i absolutely love all kinds of music. I made this site just to showcase some songs that i have played drums on and keep people posted on what i'm doing. Right now, i'm currently playing for New York City based artist, Erin Barra with Steve Capecci on Bass, Cian McCarthy on Keys, Kyle LaLone on Guitar. We recorded an album over the summer of 2007 at Chung King Studios in New York City. Yo, we be giggin.
I have also recorded on a few artist's albums such as Colorado based singer/songwriter Gia Ashe (myspace.com/gianninashe), former Boston based Ska group Barracuda Emergency (myspace.com/barracudatoyourface), and former Boston based alternative rock group Talk Radio (w/ Madi Diaz, myspace.com/madidiaz) (myspace.com/talkradio). I have also recorded with Boston/Philadelphia based artist Jesse Ruben (myspace.com/jesseruben)
I was more recently a part of New York/Philadelphia based Funky Butter (funkybutter.com). We are currently releasing our first and final album, "Made Of You". You can check out rough mixes (and eventually real mixes) on myspace.com/funkybutter.
I attend Berklee College Of Music in Boston (currently in my Senior year 08) where I study with Rod Morgenstein and take classes from Mike Mangini, Kenwood Denard, and Skip Hadden. I'm into all types of music and i try to play with all types of groups so if you're looking for an experienced drummer, drop me a message.
