Kate Ferber is a vocalist, songwriter and keyboard player who found her voice as the lead singer of New York & Philly-based band Funky Butter. The band has parted ways after three years in the game and an album, "Made Of You," which came out in August, 2008. Now Kate is playing solo often with multi-instrumentalist Justin Golder and Shaina Taub and Jo Lampert singing back up.

Kate is honing her own brand of soul. Her songs are raw, dynamic, and honest, with deep grooves and soaring vocals. In NYC she has performed at Rockwood Music Hall, The Living Room, The National Underground. In Philly, the Trocadero and World Cafe Live. She has performed with artists and bands including Dallin Applebaum, Funky Butter, Jim Boggia, The N'Harmonics, Father Goose, and Shaina Taub at Joe's Pub, Birdland, Canal Room and The Beacon Theater among many New York and East Coast venues.
