About Me

OK ... no more talking about myself in the third person...Among the many gigs and recording sessions in a career that spans over three (gulp) decades you can include Jeff ‘Skunk’ Baxter, (Steely Dan & Doobie Bros.) John Denver, Joe Bonamassa, Glenn Shorrock (LRB) as well as Aussie acts Dragon, Jon Stevens, Stevie Wright, Marc Hunter, , Brian Cadd, Doug Parkinson and Jimmy Little...Internationally I have shared the stage with Queen, Roxy Music, Brian Ferry, B.B. King, India.Arie, Steely Dan, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Gary Moore, Chicago, ZZ Top, The Neville Brothers, Tony Joe White, Ben Harper, Meatloaf. In late 2005 I was invited by my good mate producer Kevin Shirley, (www.cavemanproductions.com) to Las Vegas for the new Joe Bonamassa (www.jbonamassa.com) offering 'You and Me' which has fortunately turned into a lasting relationship. I joined Joe again in early 2007 for the early sessions of what would become the 'Sloe Gin' CD, and for the second time I was lucky enough to be a part of a Billboard 1 Blues record. I joined the touring band in early 2007 as well, and I am blessed to be able to live my dream...I do have a very special place in my heart for my professional and personal relationship with the late John Denver which culminated in the piano and orchestra recording of the international hit single ‘For You’. We hung out quite a bit in Sydney where he visited regularly...Television has also featured in my capacity as a composer and currently I have the theme music for ‘Escape With ET’ on air, and scored I have also scored the music for the TV pilot 'Road To Adventure.' I have also composed for short films...I have a great studio which I get to see all too rarely these days and have enjoyed producing and recording many emerging artists...Hope you enjoy the site, check out the blog which I keep on the road and some pics, and get in touch if you like .... Peace and Love to you all... Ricardo
