Ryan Michael Galloway has just been nominated for "2009 Texas State Musician." It's kind of like getting to be the state flower for a year--only better. Apparently, last session there were only about 20 nominees out of several hundred thousand Texas musicians.
"I'm definitely a 'dark horse' candidate," says Ryan. "But I hope they'll look at the work I'm doing for Texas music and musicians, not just my entertainer status--I'm certainly not that well known. In any case, I'm in fantastic company, and it is truly an honor."
His latest release, "Rock the Big House Down" (EP) is now available at SongSlide.com, where you can set your own price! You can sample the songs above, then go to RMG
