DSKANLESS, born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri is ready to bring something new to the table with her aggressive like sound in the rap industry. The nickname Dee was given by her mother but one of her closest friends that later passed away had the name Dskanless first, given to him by the streets, he said that she could use it due to the fact they shared scandalous tendencies at times. She has been putting it down since the age of 18 with other local artist in her home town because she understands and appreciate the struggle of trying to get K.C on the map."No one shows us love except us" says Dskanless, I haven't had the pleasure of working with some of my favorites yet such as Lil Kim, Mary J. ,Shawna, Jackie O, and Rasheeda, just to name a few, I would also have loved to work with Tupac and Mac Dre those too were favorites of mine! My grandfather always said the best grind is a slow grind so while I'm waiting my turn I guess I'm getting better with time.Talent must run in my family because my siblings and I are like the ghetto version of the Jackson Five! At first I would just freestyle with guys in my neighborhood of 46th & Wabash, my first time showing other people what I was capable of was at this party, my friends were ashamed they thought that I would embarrass myself so they went and hid in the restroom until they heard the crowd rocking to me, then decided to come out and join in. The last thing I remember at the spot was this girl I had went to school with saying" Dee please don't rap against me no more"?! That made me feel good and from there I took my position. Still to the date I personally don't think I'm something to run home and tell jesus about but you can sure tell a partner or two! I'm currently working on my solo project "In the Mix of the Making". I've often thought about giving up but I'd let too many people down and my main goal is to make the world groove to me, a Kansas citian and to buy my grandmother a house before she goes home as she calls it, that along would make me happy with all the hard work I've put in...
