SKILZ aka Mr.GANGSTA & GENTLEMAN

A Missouri native, born and raised in the inner city streets of Kansas City, Skilz formerly know as D. Skilz, has had a love for music all of his life. He learned to play the drums as well as the piano in his early childhood years. While singing with a Baptist youth choir during adolescence, he discovered his love for singing on the “mic”. Deciding then that he would excel in the music business, he began to define Skilz.
Singing with many groups over the years, has allowed Skilz to grow. He has a multitude of experience under his belt having done collaborations with artist such as He has been forced to mature through his experiences. He is no stranger to the many struggles of an aspiring artist. Possessing over 12 years in the industry, he has proven to be more than an amateur in the entertainment industry.
Skilz began working as a producer for Mass Acre Entertainment/Mastermind Studios in 1997. In 1999 Skilz became a solo artist as well. With a unique style, he has displayed his talents on tracks such as “How Lo” featuring R&B artist Kareem the Dream, “Relationshit” and “Saddle Up” featuring rap artist Young Fierce and throughout the years Skilz has produced,collaborating and sharing the same stages with artist such as Emerge, Paul Mussan. Producing Hit Song Cadillac Love for Wichita’s own Twan Sac. Luni Coleon, MAC DRE, RL from the group Next, Boys2Men, KC&JO-JO, Gerald Levert, USHER Raymond, 702, Tech9, B2K, DOC, Erakau Badu, Sir Corts, Young Hustlerz, Flip&Darkside, Jok3r, Macc Jamez, Boss Hoss, Micheal Colier, H-Town, SWV, Rich the Factor, Boy Big, Kutt Kalhone, Messy Marv,and alot more.
But the hot note is that Skilz on his own independent label C-Notez Recordz is now ready to releases his sophomore project titled “Keyz’nC” is to be released sometime in 2007 featuring R&B superstar group Emerge and rapp superstar Young Fierce a.k.a Prince2tutimen.
