MORE EVENTS TO COME

----
Music - it can set a mood, provoke thought, change an attitude or move the world.
Working Out - Cycling, swimming, running, and lifting weights.
Women - Even the crazy ones are fun, they are just a little harder to make go away sometimes.
Architecture- At least looking at it. Old/New buildings and houses. I can easily spend a whole day checking out a cities downtown or cool neighborhoods. That is why I love living downtown.
Psychology - Human behavior has always been an interest of mine. What makes a person tick? What is the difference between a good and bad person? Why do we do what we do? I love all that stuff.
The Linux Operating System - Linux is a free and open source computer operating system. I can spend hours messing with it. I'd love to make my own software some day, especially something that deals with music manipulation.
Politics - I love to watch political events unfold. The current presidential race this political season is one of the most interesting and important of our times.
I'd like to meet:
A person who isn't afraid to take chances. A person that is spontaneous.
Someone that likes me, but doesn't need me.
A person that is positive and happy.
Someone that is fine with who they are and does not need to make things up or go out of their way to try and impress me.
I'll be myself. You be you. Things will be fine.
Caution!!! There are what some may consider inappropriate song lyrics in my playlist. If you are offended easily you may want to turn down the sound or exit this page. I like all kinds of art. I try to be tasteful, but I am very anti-censorship. I have found what is offensive to some is not to others? Contemporary rock and hip-hop music has a long history of pushing boundaries and possibly making us feel a little uncomfortable at times; That is part of the magic.
The calendar below has my schedule. I have posted it here to help keep myself organized and so friends can see what is up.
As you can see not much right now. I am in the process of moving to Houston, TX. Once I get settled in I will start training for new events. Peace.
Music:
I love music. I have many favorites. Chemical Brothers. Nine Inch Nails. Beck. Outkast/Andre 3000. T-Payne. Lil' Wayne. Sixx Am. The Cure. Hank Williams III. Robert Johnson. Red Hot Chili Peppers. Chevelle. 10 Years. Many, many more.
I found I have become more a fan of good songs than strictly bands, like in the past. Unlike many of my friends (I feel have become closed minded) who partake in only classic rock or 'grown up music', I still really enjoy a lot of contemporary tunes. Music, at times is supposed to be fun or silly. Having a good time or letting loose is a great way to let off steam and enjoy life.
Movies:
I like movies a lot. I love independent films, but depending on who accompanies me to the theater, I have been known to watch just about anything. Some impressionable directors - Hitchcock, Spike Lee, David Lynch, Cohen Bros, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, Ang Lee and Oliver Stone.
Television:
Don't own one. Shows that are entertaining to me are - Real Time with Bill Maher. The O'Reilly Factor.(Back to that politic thing again) CNN. Fox News. Burn Notice. Family Guy. American Dad. The Office. Curb You Enthusiasm. PBS. Fuse TV - They actually still show music videos. Conan O'Brien. Letterman. Leno.
Books:
Anything about human behavior. Any book about Linux or Programming. I love to do the Crossword Puzzle (does that count?) over Breakfast on the weekend or sometimes in the evening before bed. Lance Armstrong's Bio - It's Not About The Bike. Any article or interview that features Noam Chomsky.
I love to browse through old yearbooks or textbooks.
Impressionable reads:
Inferno - By Dante.
The Stranger - Camus
The Sun Also Rises - Hemingway
Anything I have ever read by Edgar Allen Poe.
Heroes:
The Average American. Getting up and carrying on each day isn't always easy, something I have learned firsthand. No matter what your situation is never giver up!!
