It also attracted the cream of emerging youth talent to the microphone, becoming a virtual DJ and singers academy. Papa Levi, Tippa Irie, Daddy Colonel, Daddy Rusty and Sandy - the main Saxon DJs by late 1984 - were among a list of associates that at times also included Smiley Culture, Asher Senator, Maxi Priest, Macka B, Leslie Lyrics, Miss Irie, Dirty Desi, Roger Ranks, Mikey General and Ranking Coley. Armed with the latest dubplates and exclusives, Saxon could roadblock any venue they played.This album, recorded in Northwest London on 9th November 1984, captures the full excitement of a Saxon set of the time.
