..[if !IE]..[endif]For over more than three years this dj-couple from Ghent mixes and mashes the most conventional and unpredictable records with a yet unseen ardour and efficiency. The result is always more than an extraordinary and danceable mix of different styles. Their dj-sets are jagged, multi-layered and estranging, their talent unsurpassed, their influences uncountable, the rhythm always steaming. Their intention is to load their sets with as many songs a possible, yet the whole remains transparent and sparkling.
Seemingly effortless electro, 80’s, drum’n bass, hip hop, R&B, contemporary dance and rock are blended in their sets, with which today they are weekly residents in the most prominent bars in Ghent (Stereo, Video, Café Théatre, ... ). In all corners of the country they have been worthy opponents of prominent dj’s as Buscemi, Squadra Bossa, Shameboy, Discobar Galaxie, 4T4, Sven Van Hees, TLP, Ed&Kim, Gerrit K, Pat Verhelst, Otto Jan Ham and D’Stephanie, and have they battled courageously against the greatest. They participated in the popular compilation-program Hang the Dj on the national radio station Studio Brussels and since 2004 Frères Deluxe is part of the line-up of the dj’s present on Rock Werchter.
Frères Deluxe has been manning the decks at Laundry Day, Jospop, Hestival, Festiv’Halle, Nijdrop, Club 69, Bardot, Stereo, Video, Vooruit, Café Théatre, Hang The Dj, Funkycity, Lochtfest, Rock Werchter and many more.
