about 1990 -after consuming every kind of musically madness - i felt deeply in love with minimal and groovy electronic music. i was listening to artists like richie hawtin, mike ink, stewart walker etc. and of course i went to all the incredible partys at this time. especially italy and switzerland, because nearly nobody wanted to hear this kind of music in vienna at this time. i'll never forget the first after-hours in 1991 close to jesolo. a club called "ranch", opening at 06.00 in the morning. a old farm house with a pool in the garden, full packed with about 1500 freaks - and me! a unbelievable sound was running out of the speakers, perfectly mixed by italian djs called andrea gemolotto,leo mas and fabrice, called "magical triade".
after this experience, i never stopped listening - and searching - the deep groovy kind of sounds of electronic music. nowadays i started to produce my own music.since 2001 i am running a event serie called soundgallery. i try to always combine street-art, live music and clubculture. furthermore, i am part of the kompressor club-events in vienna and i am also running a monthly soundgallery radio show on www.play.fm. my recent project since 2006 is a audiovisual live act together with friend of mine who is vj.
after 8 years of spinning vinyl-records, i started in the beginning of 2006 with digital mixing only with notebook and effect machines. for me it is much more exciting, trying to make a live remix, than only mixing 2 records together. time is running and so do i ;-)
in summer 2007, i started a new open air eventseries called AM WASSER and it's located in vienna, close to the new danube. it starts every sunny sunday and runs from june to september. it's a nicely relaxed place in the heart of vienna, where you can swim, chill and of course listen to the best underground dj's (and sometimes live acts) in town! and 2008 is waiting for AM WASSER again;-)
