Do you like it pre-chewed and in little pieces? Coming from a drawer, labeled by an etikett and only made for the masses? Do you like a more and more down-leveled and straight-formatted musically meaning? Do you even swear on clear shapes and categoeries for the future and on the consumption of assembly-line-music? No? Good...
It aint easy these days to be independent, regarding to your musically creativity & individuality, without having to sell your ass and your soul. But it's a respectable attitude at all. Especially to notice and promote individuality as it is, to respect it apart from any marketing-strategical point of view - is the declared aim of unGleich records, runned by Torsten "Stassy" Litschko and Hendrik Vaak from Berlin...also well known as Sender Berlinwww.senderberlin.de
unGleich.digital.01 & 02 showcased our direct musical surroundings in Berlin including wonderful tracks like Winterdub (Pikaya) and Penthouse Lover (Sven Elmlund). Now we are getting international:

Marco Polo:
OK, München is not fitting in the international category, but it feels like another world when you are in Berlin We like the vibe of the city: nice food, funny dialect and everything a bit fancier. Marco Polo is the opposite. This sound of his track is rather dirty and it´s roughness is rather rare these days. New fresh music. Marco Polo is on the right path .. IT ROCK`s.
MySpaceRocket:
If we had to name a place where parties and emotions meet as nowhere else, we´d say russia – espiacially Moskau. We like to support some of those excellent musicians from there.
My space rocket send us an demo which was produced in their studio directly loacted beneath one of Moskow´s best clubs. The track reflects the energy we have experienced when we were there. Electro House as delicate as Beluga Caviar.
George Apergis:
Greece is not only nice for holidays.. NO.. it´s housing a small dedicated scene for electronic music as well. GA is part of the scene running the Modular Expansion / Reverb Partys with their unique atmosphere. The warmth and relaxed vibe and be found in his tracks. Minimal with Charm & Detail…

Sender Berlin is back in the studio! "This time we won't take 3 years before putting out the next masterpiece - too many ideas and half-ready tracks are flying around...and we also want to boost our new digital platform with some fresh material. The album will follow in 2007!"

Our new artist Sven Elmlund started his musical carrier in 2004 with a 12" release on Funkhaus Music (FHM 06 - "Sudden Success").
He is tied to his day job so he is taking music production as a creative "after work occupation". His musical spectrum ranges from techhouse and electro to new-skool minimal.
We strongly believe in his potential and talent and think that his contribution "Penthouse Lover" for this release is more like a tip of the iceberg with much more wonderful things to follow soon.
Normally Sender Berlin does not release single tracks before an upcoming album project; we believe that the album format as a complete "image" of a work period is a better reflection.
We don't want to follow short-lived trends and musical hype with our releases. Staying true to the game and always to create something unique is our motto. So "Unequal Arts" was our last stop, this release is the intermission, and 2007 will see the next milestone album ! Take this release as an appetizer :-)

unGleich Records took a little break after the sucsessful "Sender Berlin" DualDisc "Unequal Arts". There was no holiday though but time to plan the next stage, introducing unGleich.digital.
In an exclusive partnership with BEATPORT, new and established label artists will present their new material on 5 online-only releases. Following that, the best tracks of these will be compiled for a good "old-fashioned" vinyl and CD production!
unGleich.digital kicks off with our man in Vienna, multi-talented Carl Past. He is one of the best Djs in Austria and has slowly but steadily accumulated a ton of excellent material in his studio vault. Beside his healthy activities in promoting and organizing the local underground scene, his production skills have steadily grown from a part time hobby to "seroius business".
He will be a welcome addition to our label roster and add more color and internationality to the unGleich spektrum. He describes his sound as a delicate balance of reduced Techno and Electrofunk, without the cheese "retro" touch, looking straight ahead into the future.
The second act for this release is Pikaya, a fairly new group of musicians, hailing from the ever-so-fertile Berlin underground scene. With a strong potential to become one of the "secret top acts" of the coming months, and a release on the highly acclaimed "Cadenza" label at the moment, they surely look like a hot mover.
Their production motto is to release the energy collected in years of club experience into wonderful danceable minimal funk tracks.
We call it "AdvancedElectronicMusic"!
