About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
This is Erik, the vocalist for the long defunct Minneapolis-based band (sic). This page is for everyone in the scene who through the years haven't forgot about us or let our music die. OK my memory's pretty shoddy and if anyone's out there who can elaborate our time frame better than I can, or if you have video or photos by all means fork em over.
(sic) was conceived in the wake of the band Disturbed (the REAL Disturbed, not the posers who took the name and ruined it), comprising of Mike Bahauddin, Blake Hurlbert, and Nick Miller. I came into the picture later after doing a stint with Resident Iconoclast (later named Horror), a Rochester, MN based death metal outfit. This was midway thru 1993.
During our three year tenure we played with some kick ass bands like Morbid Angel, Broken Hope, The Mentors, Fleshgrind, GBH, Diabolic Possession, Nosferatu, Misery, Saucebolt (ex-Impulse Manslaughter), Minor Threat, Dysphoria, The Quincy Punx, Demented Ted, Afterlife, Mondo Trasho, Sarcophagus, Jesus Fucking Christ, Xenomorph (pre-Angelcorpse/Immolation members) Vexx (pre-Slipknot members), Unleashed, shit there's a ton more so help me out people. Mike and Nick along with future members of Slipknot helped Don Decker get Anal Blast off the ground in 1994.
We played shows not only in the Twin Cities area but also Des Moines, Omaha, Rockford IL, Chicago, and Aurora, IL.
We recorded our very first demo tape live during a soundcheck at the 7th St. Entry before one of our very first shows. It was a four song EP and was engineered by Billy Batson, probably one of the best soundguys ever to come out of Minneapolis. There was also the self-titled CD EP-released in 1995 which has had quite a cult following...the songs of which can be heard on this page. It was recorded as part of a college homework assignment by two close friends of (sic)...and I'm horseshit on names as usual. Oh, by the way a bit of useless trivia for those who still have the CD...that sequence of 1's and 0's on the CD jacket is pi in binary code.
Well, the beginning of the end for (sic) was Nick's invitation to play for Kataklysm's Temple of Knowledge CD and tour in 1995. When he returned we did some more shows and started on our second CD which, sadly never made it past drums and scratch guitar tracks. This was late 1996 (In 2000 I threw vocals over the top of some of the tracks and they didn't turn out half bad).
After this (sic) parted ways. Blake became a professional touring roadie for a few big acts since then, Nick still plays drums and lives in Omaha and has quite a resume since (sic) of acts that he's jammed with, Mike to the best of my knowledge kinda retired from the scene altogether, and I went to play drums for The Reverend Poky Bunge, a vaudevillian absurdist act that preaches sublime world cynicism in the guise of drag and adult diapers.
On behalf of me and my lifelong bros Blake, Nick, and Mike, this page is for the fans of (sic).

Erik here. I've always taken great pride in the lyrics I have written over the years. The ones I wrote for (sic) are worthy of special note, because I wanted to mirror them with the complexity of the ...
