- Described by one promotions company as "A sophomoric young folk singer, who drafts Nick Drakes tear stained heart and the reverting soul searching of Rory Mcloud, complemented nicely with Tom Waits Smokey wryness. Quite simply beautiful."
- "Lyrically Ingenius" - reviewer on Slicethepie
- "literary inspired singer, James reminds of Leonard Cohen but with a better voice"
A review of 'Stories' - "With its story telling lyrics, bright sounding acoustic guitar and cute uncertainty, 'Stories' seems mostly likely a refection on the yesteryears tainted in black and white memories. Defiantly a song that is so personal that it could also have been written in a diary. To emotionally open up like this is a very brave thing to do, and to judge it would be inconsiderately wrong and all things bad. Deep down we all have a song like this just wanting to be expressed. A song that shares the artist's life experience without going over the top. The best we can do is listen and learn."
I can be found playing in and around Bristol singing my songs hoping people out there appreciate them. I hope you are one of those people. and maybe one day I'll get to meet you...See you down the front James x
