Born the third of four children in the bleakness that is known as The Midlands of England, the lazy one was bombarded with music from a very young age. Unfortunately, a lot of this music was total rubbish, but on the flip side, a lot of the good stuff managed to filter through and into the dark passages of his fertile mind.
He grew up wanting to write music that would accompany a bike riding across the moon, like John Williams. Then he wanted to sing about rain that was purple, like that Prince fella, or taking a Greyhound bus down the Hudson river-line like Mr Joel. Before long, he felt the need to take the weather with him, like the Finn brothers, whilst singing about a girl who waves at trains, like Stephen Duffy and those Lilac Time chaps.
Then one stinking hot summer’s day, he was on a bus to work and a song flew in through the window and hit him good and hard in the face. He liked the tune so much, that he played it in his head for the whole journey.
But it didn’t go away.
And when other songs heard about this new home, they too made a beeline for the lazy one’s head, cluttering his mind with chords and melodies. They made such a racket, that the only way to get rid of them was to record them. And that’s what he did. Not particularly out of any desire to be a rich and famous rock star. It came more from the notion that people like a tune and it’s possible that people might like these tunes. So I’m afraid you won’t find any sparkling reviews on here, or glittering recommendations from the music industry. However, if you’ve read this far, you’re listening, and if you’re listening, you might like it, and if you like it, then for God’s sake let him know.Just don’t wake him up._________________________________________________________
