Update 10-05-08. I celebrated my birthday on 9/20/08, a Saturday. I was surrounded by family and my closest friends, which is the way I wanted it. I was determined to have a beautiful time despite anything else going on in my life. I was looking forward to going to work the following Monday, 9/22/08. I even ironed my clothes for the entire week! Something I usually don't do. Well, I was on my way to work, going my usual route, driving my Lexus, which I just purchased last year. A driver was not paying attention, may have been under the influence, crossed the center line and was approaching me head on. The enemy meant to take me out, but God, but God had other plans. By the time I saw the driver, I had just enough time to turn my car to the left to avoid a head on collision. I was still hit though, on the passenger side. The impact was hard and he was driving at normal speed, his car did not slow down at all. I guess that's when my adrenaline kicked in. I felt no pain at the time. After the visit to the emergency room and after days went by, the pain intensified. Now I am on 5 different medications and the car was totaled. None of that matters because I'm still living! Only because of his grace and mercy though. I only give credit and honor where it's due. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!! My reason for telling this, is that we never know what is going to happen and when and we should be thankful for every moment we are here, and never never take our lives and Jesus' grace and mercy for granted.Life, living one day at a time, keeping those near and dear close. Taking the time to appreciate the smaller things in life. Realizing that what goes around, comes back around. Taking time to relax, live as stress free as possible by vacationing and working out... Treating people right, being myself. Knowing that a quality education, knowledge and wisdom are the keys to unlock anything you want in life along with the faith to believe though prayer.
