D. GOODE, co-founder of Hood Elegant Music, was born into a life where music was everything. Influenced by his father, who is a keyboardist and guitarist, and other old-school players as a youngster, D. Goode pays homage to the old school through his lyrics and style. He has collaborated with many artists and producers over the years, which has honed his natural writing ability.
He writing credits include "Come With Me" produced by Kwame on MTV's "Making The Band 4" winners Day 26 debut album, as well as work with platinum artists Danity Kane's super-production team Flex & Hated. D. Goode is currently in the studio with Wyclef Jean, Jerry Wonder, and their team of producers, Logic. D. Goode has also teamed up with singer/songwriter Sky for major forthcoming projects.
D. Goode's debut album Listen Up has received rave reviews. A new school sound with an old school feel, Listen Up portrays D. Goode's ability to write and perform hit records.
His live show captivates audiences with lush vocals and soulful music. D. Goode has worked in concert with Goapele, Floetry, Kindred the Family Soul, Raheem DeVaughn, Kia Shine, The Shop Boyz, and Trey Songz. D. Goode has been covered in a variety of local and regional magazines as well as being featured in the June 2007 issue of Vibe magazine. This is the new sound of music; the name is D. Goode.
