I'm named after a dead broad and mountain snakes.

About Me

Most of this works despite being written half-seriously and too many years ago. Most of it is bullshit but so am I.- I am full of half-read novels, unchecked facts and a great deal of improvisation. I'm interesting in the right doses, funny over the phone, and wilt slightly when left alone without enough sunlight. Luckily, I try to get out every once in a while. Photosynthesis -- the way to go.I'm on the wrong coast for my music tastes. But, all of my stuff is out here, and so are most of my friends. I figure I'm not so bad off. Plus, all the important events happened out East, so fuck -- I was lucky enough to be around at the right time when they happened.I'm vocal, opinionated, and slightly adorable when fired up about something unimportant. My blood type is the universal donor, so I'm always handy to keep around.I slept through the right amount of philosophy courses to now have the growing suspicion that the mind and body are made of the same substance, but are of different modes. By accepting this, I take upon the mantle knowing full well that I share the same makeup as both my Coffee table, of every American President, and probably John Linnell of They Might Be Giants. The jury's still out on the Flansburgh connection.

My Interests

Writing, Reading, music.

I'd like to meet:

People. People into Surf Music a plus.

Music:

Too much to list here - what can I give you? Just check my 'Friends' list. Most of them are bands on here that I like.Other than that - Frank Zappa, Amon Tobin, SNFU, MF Doom, Bad Brains, Dead Kennedys, Gein and the Graverobbers, Demon Seeds, Crimson Ghosts, Ghoul's Night Out - basically, Necro-Tone Records; Soul Coughing, Black Flag, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Fear Factory, The Red Elvises, The Ghastly Ones, Man or Asto-Man?, Madlib, The Phenomenauts, The Ventures, Link Wray, Cigar, Screeching Weasel, The Descendents, The Aquabats, GWAR, Captain Beefheart, Ween, Los Straitjackets. There's more but fuck it.

Movies:

Yeah. None of this needs any alteration. We Jam Econo, Dr. Strangelove, Raising Arizona, Brazil, Secretary, any punk/music documentary like The Filth and the Fury, The Decline of Western Civilization; any bizarre film -- real Troma and/or Independent stuff. Crap horror does it well. American Splendor, Northfork, True Believer was a good one. In the Mouth of Madness

Television:

Fuck, haven't updated this shit in forever. The Venture Brothers and the rest of the Adult Swim lineup remains the only constant thing I watch on television. Thanks to the upgrade in cable, the free movies on Comcast do what they should in killing a few hours.

Books:

Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, The Unoriginal Sinner and the Ice Cream God, 'Crush' by Richard Siken, anything by Russel Edson, William Burroughs, Stephen Dunn. More than this but hell if I can remember.

Heroes:

We really fucked up by shooting MLK.
