About Me

My name is Jan Eric Mengeling (Janson or "SCHNITZ")) and I'm a Guitar Player/Songwriter. My musical journey began at age 8 with playing the classical flute in Germany. 5 years later I switched to guitar. After studying Guitar in Vienna/Austria, I relocated to Los Angeles. I have recorded and toured the US and Europe with members from Black Label Society, Meat Loaf, the Animals, Accept, Wishbone Ash, Fehlfarben, Medication, Tower of Power and just had the pleasure to record a song with Gregg and Matt Bissonette. I am currently the Tour Guitar Player for Martin Gerschwitz and Friends and released 2 DVDs with the same.
