There are moments in life that can harden you. The consistent sense of a life of mediocrity. Bearing witness to the violation of rules and abuse of systems by others without repercussion, that you yourself have adhered to. The loss of a beloved from this world. The rejection from someone in this world you love. The back of a longtime friend turned towards you without justification. The realization that the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel is not peace and tranquility... its the AMTRAK nooner named SOCIETY barrelling down on you while your foot remains caught under the third rail. These are the moments that will turn you cold and your heart black.
All too often we trudge through life as if we are walking through the actual Valley of Death. The Spectre of Loneliness whispers his disparaging mantra with every step we take towards the welcoming misery known as life.
"In each of us two natures are at war... the good and the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them, but one of them must conquer. In our own hands lies the power to choose. What we want most to be we are." - Dr. Henry Jeckyll
What Black Hearts Inc. is about is actually pretty simple. It is a catalyst for thought, a source of pleasure, an outlet for pain, and proof that even the darkest, coldest and blackest hearts still pump a version of life throught this body we call the world. The fact it is a darker and slightly more complex version does not make it unique all on its own.
Its uniqueness comes from the choices we make between good and evil. This is where we choose evil and let it out so that it does not conquer us on a daily basis. It is here where you can expect the unexpected from us.
The master of love (literally anyway), William Shakespeare once said, "Hell is empty... for all the devils are here." He had no idea how right he was. Come be evil. Come to the dark side. We have cookies.
