Who Is S-Caliber?
New York City has given birth to some of the most legendary musicians and recording artists to ever enter the industry. So now let's see what the Big Apple has in store when S-Caliber steps up to the plate. But you're probably asking yourself, "what makes him so different from today's majority?" Take a listen for yourself and you're bound to come to some conclusion. You can either call him the next "Top Level Lyricist" or "The Young Voice of the Future," but either way, the skillz were Heaven-sent and he's here to represent, never forgetting that he is a Harlem resident... 4 LIFE!
S-Caliber stands as a lyricist representing the East Coast hip-hop scene. His thought provoking content, coupled with a sharp delivery, fashionable swagger and lack of profanity, appeals to fans of all ages. With a growing exposure to various musicians and styles of artistry, his music not only represents his character, but also reflects a diverse cultural influence from many musical genres. Despite being surrounded by hundreds of individuals who claim to stand out as rappers and lyricists, S-Caliber focuses on standing apart from a wave of up-and-coming artists who conform to commercial styles and trends. So as many artists struggle to find their identity in Hip-Hop, S-Caliber simply identifies himself as the change that he wishes to see within a heavily criticized genre. He is currently promoting his self-titled EP and also working on his next solo project as well as a collaborative project with Long Island duo “ReKon” due around the summer of 2008, which are both untitled at the moment.
S-Caliber Speaks:
The name is S-Caliber and I've been breathin and runnin through the streetz of Harlem my entire lifetime. I dunno what it iz, but people say that for a young dude, I'm highly focused and well advanced for my time... I guess I should see that as an advantage. But I take it all in as "I'm just doin me... and while doing me, I aim real high, so I guess I could say I'm just achieving a certain standard." I'm currently doin my thing in college, writing for a few independent newspapers and magazines in NYC, part-time tutor, heavily involved in music... oh yea... and if you ain't notice already, I'm A LYRICIST!!!
I feel that I was sent on a mission from God 2 do something in the industry... unfortunately, I'm still tryna figure out what this mission is... so my music is a positive development of what I'm learnin' through life's experiences. I love all kinds of music and I made sure that I would try my best to expose myself to every genre out there, so it came to the point where music became my life. As my love for the various styles of music developed into a passion, I figured I would try my best to get involved as much as possible. I guess you can say my focus is on sharing my lyrical blessing with sum hot trackz, and saving the world bar by bar, wit the pen to the pad. Holla at me and lemme know what the deal is... Bless/Ezzz!!
