After forming The Cobras in 1978 and recording the "4 Now From Buffalo" EP at Tom Callandra's BCMK Studios,with the seminal song "Wrong Way on a One Way Street" Mr.C. and The Cobras toured thruout western NY and Southern Ontario.
With a name and member change Mr.C. reformed as The Viceroys and recorded the "Dance My Life Away" LP and toured the region - until 1984 - when he formed The Original Assassins and continued to play regionaly.
Tapping into his love of blues ,Mr.C. teamed up with Harmonica John
and The Excellos became a staple on the western new york blues/rock'n'roll sceane in 1985!
Mr.Conrad has also lived in Austin Tx.and played there with Keith Ferguson (original bassist w/The Fabulous Thunderbirds) and Freddie Pharoh Walden(Anson Funderburgh's original drummer),toured Texas and the gulf coast from '89 to '93.
Returning to Buffalo Mr.C.reformed The Excellos and recorded the "I'm Dis-Satisfied" CD again at BCMK Studios with Nick Veltri,Jim Wozniak,Greg Zark,Jim Beishline,Steve Camelari and featured Doug"Big Daddy" Morgano and Canada's Richard"King Bisquit-Boy"Newell.
In '97 Mr.C. led his own outfit in Long Beach Ca. with Steve F'Dor,Scott Lambert,Ron Felton and Lee Campbell.Also playing with James Harman,Freddy Brooks,Whiteboy James,Max Bangwell,Robert Lucas,2000lbs.of Blues and Candye Kane until 2003.
Mr.C. returned to Buffalo NY to reform The Excellos and continue his playing and love of Blues and Rock'n'Roll.
Mr.Conrad has also contributed two songs off the I'm Dis-satisfied cd,(Livin' in Misery and One More Night) to the independant movie "My Bad Dad".
Mr. Conrad just awarded the WNY Blues Society's 2007 Muddy Waters Award for "Class Act" of the year.
