OK so I have taken my waxing lyrical off the space and dropped down some instrumentals I penned: hope they're fine and chilling out material for anyone who cares to listen....and at some stage I will christen them properly .....but to continue with the hype!...The epitome of generosity when it comes to giving a fine performance, with a quirky poetic style that verges on satirical folk (rap).Earned an apprenticeship by playing in many low life, dodgy bands and continues to be small fry in a vast ocean of talent. Nevertheless in the small rock pool there is no bigger oyster..Recorded on albums with unrecognised artists and later embarked on a solo pathway producing unknown cds such as ; ‘Show down on Shed Street’ (a tale of two barbers) ‘Strings on Fire,’ (guitar instrumentals) ‘Load O’Mischief’ (nutty as a fruit cake!) and the soon to be released ‘Misfits’.The poignant material on Misfits covers a broad range of subjects including Whinney Hill’, (a local mining disaster that took place in 1883) , Fallen Pal (the story of a soldier from the Lancashire town of Accrington who fought in the Great War) and Face the Issue (a young lad selling the Big Issue, a magazine for the homeless) to name but a few...Many other pieces have been broadcasted on BBC Radio Merseyside, BBC Radio Lancashire, Radio Birmingham and out on t'world wide web, but to no avail.Appearances include Fylde Folk Festival (including the Singer Song Writer work shops over the last three yeras), Middlewich Folk Festival, the Oswaldtwistle Folk Festivals, Pubs and Folk Clubs.The funny stuff ranges from tales of a battle of two barbers in a set curiously entitled ‘Show Down on Shed Street’, to the wild, surreal antics of the Ventolin inhaler in, ‘Wiffer in my pocket’ Oh to plough the furrow of individual quirkiness that makes life so interesting and appealing............Available for Shows or cds......just contact.
