Joseph Mary Plunkett (1887-1916)I was a keen scholar and a son of The papal count, I had the benefit of close ties with the literary world. I was a good friend of Thomas MacDonagh with whom I worked as director of the Irish Theatre and as co-editor of the Irish Review. I had suffered from ill health and had had an operation for glandular tuberculosis only days before the Rebellion, struggling out of my sick bed to partake in it, But By-God I was There.I had Been assisted by a young IRB volunteers, He was a good Lad to did what he did for me, I was a member of the Military Council of the Provisional Government and of the Provisional Committee of the Irish Volunteers.I am happily married to my sweetheart, Grace Gifford, We were married in Kilmainham Jail just hours before The English Fireing Party Shot me.http://www.1916rising.com/pic_plunkett.html
