Douglas Turley

Born and raised in SMALL town Indiana, Doug began playing piano at a young age, eventually falling in love with the bass after being introduced to Led Zeppelin. After high school, he attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California and decided to pursue a career in music. After returning from California he studied music at Ball State University and graduated on the Deans List in 1998. Following his graduation he was selected to participate in the Henry Mancini Institute in Long Beach, California. After college Doug moved to Chicago and worked with numerous jazz and blues groups as well as wedding bands, corporate bands and musicals. During this time Doug also toured extensively throughout America with The Russ Morgan Orchestra. In 2004 he began working in Las Vegas as a musical director and bass player and in 2005 relocated there. He has played the Montreux Jazz Festival, the North Sea Jazz Festival, the Playboy Mansion, the Hollywood Bowl and Hard Rock Cafe's the Joint, and a bunch of Elks Lodges and places of the like. He has backed up such artists as Chuck Berry, Ruth Brown, Freddy Boom Boom Cannon, Expose, The Marvelettes, The Coasters, and many other jazz and pop artists. While in Vegas Doug has worked with numerous local and national acts, including Micheal Grimm and Delta Bound and the Brad Cordle band.
